CONFESSION

I like the Dave Matthews Band, a lot. Saying that makes me want to put on some Sperry’s* and a Guy Harvey shirt and pledge a frat, but whatever.  It’s a lot better than the closet obsession I harbored for Ashlee Simpson** during my junior year of high school, which in my opinion is considerably more embarassing.

No really, I like Dave Matthews in a way that I can only explain as something of a love affair.  I once bombed a chemistry test because I went to see the Dave Matthews Tribute Band (that’s right, not even the real thing) at some fraternity party the night before and got completely wasted. Anyway, I digress; whenever a Dave song comes on shuffle, I have to listen to it, no matter what kind of mood I’m in.  His music is just very distinct, and something about it (I think the saxophone), just hits me in the right way.

I even like the kind of lame overplayed songs like Crash Into Me, because I just can’t help but smile when when I hear it.
